Warwick's is an independent book store "The Book Mistresses" support as our adopted store of choice for our book club reads. The gem of this independent book store is the intimate conversations with book sellers with their wealth of knowledge about books and authors, a website and blog filled with literary nuggets to suit every taste (reviews and reccomendations) and a calendar of events that bring you up and close with famous authors, public figures, and a peek into what's new on the literary horizon, and yes, even more. Enjoy an evening with Joyce Carol Oates as she discusses her latest novel The Sacrifice at Carlsbad City Library on Feb. 27, from 7- 8 p.m. Books will be available for sale and signing by Barnes & Noble Booksellers. This author talk will take place inside the library’s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, located at 1775 Dove Lane. Admission is free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be handed out at the auditorium door starting at 5 p.m. the day of the event, and seating will begin at 6:30 p.m.
